Melanie Kibbler (Rachel) is thrilled to be returning to Giving Ground after last years successful production. Melanie is a recent graduate of Chicago-Kent and a company member with local theater company Nothing Special Productions. She has acted with several companies around Chicago and uses her free time to continue to explore her passion for theater.  Enjoy the show!
Joe Fernandez (Trevor) is very happy to be a part of this production of 'Giving Ground.' Joe has performed all across the city doing stand up at Zanies, The Improv, and Laugh Factory and most recently was in a traveling production of 'Letters Home' put on by Griffin Theater.  He would like to thank Hank Perritt, Rose Freeman and the rest of the talented cast for making the process so fun and enlightening. 
David Hamilton (Sterling). This is my second go around with MODOFAC Productions and I am grateful for another opportunity to immerse myself in strange, wonderful, and fulfilling endeavor that is acting.  I’d like to thank everyone involved with this production and the friends that support me, and by extension the theater, I appreciate the encouragement.   To Lawrence, Gloria, and Aaron Hamilton, can’t say or do enough to thank you.  Know that whenever I’m on stage or in front of a camera you are with me.
Jean Waller (Harriett) is thrilled to be playing Harriet in GIVING GROUND.  Chicago credits include Nettie in THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES, Sister Aloysius in DOUBT, Bernarda in THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA, and the Cop in WATER FIGHT, as well as understudying various roles at Timeline and The Artistic Home.  Other theater credits include Juror #8 in TWELVE ANGRY MEN, Mrs. Cratchit in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and the Witch in HANSEL AND GRETAL.   Prior to moving to Chicago in 2008, she spent a decade working in independent film sales and distribution in Los Angeles.  In her wayward youth, she sang on the operatic and concert stage in various parts of the US and Europe. 
Sean Magill (Tad, Marshall) graduated from Indiana University in 2012. After that, he took his handy theatre degree and spent the summer burning thousands of legal files in Michigan. He moved to Chicago earlier this year and is super excited to be working with the excellent cast and production team of Giving Ground! Huzzah!" 
Jason Buhalis (Sergei) has been living in Chicago on and off for about six years. He has enjoyed various film and theater roles here and abroad. Acting has been a revealing and rewarding challenge and he is grateful to be a part of this cast/crew. He looks forward to having his thugs break some legs.
Rich Gonzalez (Police Commander) had a brief stint as a professional actor before becoming a lawyer. He has been a Clinical Professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law for 25 years, teaching in the classroom and handling employment discrimination and civil rights cases with law students through Chicago-Kent's legal clinic. Richard was recently inducted into the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers, which honors the nation's best employment law practitioners.

Dayna Shrader (Valerie) is really excited to be a part of GIving Ground this year! Previous Chicago credits include Scraps as part of The Artistic Home's Cut to the Chase, Alive! with Brickenbrack Theatre, Downward Facing in Dream Theatre's Theatre of Women 5, Bingo! at Gorilla Tango Theatre, and Kazuo's Dick in American Theatre Company's Silver Project. Film credits include the pilot episode of Adventures in Failure with Big Little Comedy.
Adam Haben (Judge) graduated from Western Illinois University in 2007 with a BA in Theater. In addition to being a graduate of the Improv Olympic training program, he has worked with Promethean Theater Ensemble and Pride Film and Plays here in Chicago as well as Madcap Puppets the outdoor drama Tecumseh! He has appeared in the film Maydays, a feature at the Chicago Latino Film Festival, and the upcoming blockbuster, Divergent. His repertoire also includes drumming with Youth Company Chicago, doing stand-up at many of the city's open mics, and studying improv at The Second City. All the while, he is also a Marketing student at DePaul University. He would like to thank Kathleen Margevich and his mother for all their support.

Dan Selcke (Waiter) graduated from the College-Kent College of Law in 2011 and is currently employed at Steven Gertler and Associates.  He is excited to be reprising the role of waiter.
Patrick Kepley (Alderman) is thrilled to be playing the Alderman in this year's production of GIVING GROUND! Chicago Credits include Sketch Comedy at Second City's Skybox Theatre. Prior to moving to Chicago late 2012, some credits include Benedick in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, Theseus/Oberon in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Edmund in KING LEAR and Duke Orsino in TWELFTH NIGHT (all with Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company), Valentine in TWO GENTLEMAN OF VERONA and John in A LIFE IN THE THEATRE (both with Heritage Theatre).

David Coupe (Detective) is ebullient to be playing the Detective in GIVING GROUND! His previous Chicago theatre credits include playing The Gnome in THE FANTASISTS (Corn Productions), vreD in A KLINGON CHRISTMAS CAROL (Commedia Beauregard), and the roles of The 13th Earl, McKyle, Kelso Truscott, and Sergeant Fraiser in THE RULING CLASS (Goat Song Theatre). He is also currently studying improvisation at Chicago's Second City.
